Notes from the Yarnie: With a velvety touch and soft, stone-washed colors, Volute is a great yarn for garments for babies, children, and adults. It can work up like a DK or as a light worsted. The colors are produced by dyeing only the cotton and leaving the acrylic white. This may be the least splitty yarn in existence. The threads are spun together in a way that there’s almost a felted feel to the yarn even though that would be impossible with cotton and acrylic. We’ve crocheted it and knitted it, and the finished products are light, soft, and velvety, just like the yarn.
